Wall Tent Photos

Here are a few photos of our wall tents in action, and a bit about some of the folks who put them to good use. Have some photos of your own Alaska Tent and Tarp wall tents in the field? Send them along.

Four hunters endured the wettest fall in over 25 years. Thanks to your wall tent we all stayed warm and dry withstanding winds of over 40 knots and heavy rainfall for most of the 14 day successful hunt. I am in the canvas business in Sacramento, California. Last week I was on a cruise ship enjoying your beautiful state. My wife and I went on a helicopter and dog sled adventure on the Mendenhall glacier in Juneau. It was worth the money. I have attached a few pictures of your wall tent in the field. Being in the canvas business I thought you may like them for your records. Enjoy -- Greg

wall tent   Ronald Aaberg from Pedro Bay, Alaska sent this picture of Paul Weinert and a Alaska Tent & Tarp 6' x 8' wall tent that they used on two trips up the Iditarod Trail. Ronald says "This picture was taken at the Rohn River checkpoint in 1990....we traveled the Iditarod in 1989 and 1990 from Anchorage to Nome using two Skidoo Tundra longtrack snowmachines. The tent was very comfortable and quick to put up....we used a wood stove for heat and cooking. We have since started using a Alaska Tent & Tarp 8' x 10' wall tent with the built-in stove collar. We have used this tent on many other trips and they are very tough, roomy, dependable and easy to put up in any environment. Several times we set up camp in a snowstorm at night in below zero conditions."

John & Heather Pearson are using one of our wall tents as their "office" from which they run their Kenai River fishing guide service, Kenai River Float-n-Fish, LLC. They wrote us this: "Here are some pictures of one of your fine wall tents in action. For the last 2 years we have run our guided fishing business from a 12x14 wall tent on the Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing. We live in the 18ft. Sioux Tipi behind the tent. All of our clients have really enjoyed the setup, and it holds up great year round, no leaks, no problems."

Laura Pearson of Denali Tree Service wrote that "we have the tent set up on our land in Willow and are starting our second season in the fort. We love living in the tent -- it is very well made and keeps us warm, dry, and safe from mosquitoes."
